MA Final Project | 2025 | Video Documentary
For my master's final project in Audio Video Journalism, I created a short documentary that goes beyond the beats of house music and raving—exploring their deeper, almost spiritual significance. More than just a nightlife scene, this culture fosters healing, connection, and a profound sense of belonging.

Rather than relying on facts and figures, I set out to capture raw human experiences—the moments where music and movement become something bigger than the individual. Through intimate storytelling, I sought to translate an emotional truth that words alone can’t express.

The documentary was met with high praise, earning me a UAL award for its creative and original approach to storytelling.
This project is one of my proudest achievements. It reaffirmed my passion for visual storytelling, human connection, and sharing narratives that resonate on a deeper level—an approach I strive to bring to all my future work.

In addition to planning, interviewing, filming, and editing my documentary, I pushed myself to learn a new skill—hand-drawn animation—featured in the final sequence.

My goal was to create a mixed-media segment that not only encapsulates the essence of the documentary in one minute but also serves as a standalone trailer or promotional piece. I hand-drew and animated the visuals myself, adding a unique, personal touch to the storytelling.
