Undergraduate Final Major Project | 2023 | Short Film
For my undergraduate drama dissertation project, I co - directed and edited a short film/ performative screening that delved into the exploration of personal heritage while challenging the concept of British identity.

Inspired by a spontaneous conversation with my course mate about our shared experiences - growing up navigating identity confusion - we decided to create a project exploring our own dual cultures speaking to wider society. Our goal was to spark resonance and provoke thought in others facing similar challenges.
Using Adobe Premiere Pro, my co-director and I conducted interviews, skilfully edited them, provided narration, and curated a compelling and emotionally resonant piece that hit close to home.
With lack of camera equipment we collated videos and images from archives and online as well as home footage, to use.

The project entails a documentary-style film, spotlighting self-collected interviews from family and friends. The live screening incorporated live performances and self - written poetry, making it a standout achievement in my portfolio. This endeavour culminated in our team receiving the 'Highest Outstanding Achievement Award' for our cohort, a testament to the project's success and impact.
