I was set the task of creating a trial 'first episode' for a podcast series, which was entirely self-made. Trust was instilled in me by an individual who wanted to share a powerful life story, allowing me to produce the podcast from an anonymous perspective. I used my voice to embody this individual, narrating the story in the first person.

 

I single-handedly wrote the script, recorded many of the extra sounds using a Tascam, and edited the episode with Adobe Audition. Additionally, a friend lent their voice to portray another character within the story.

 

The piece received praise for being poignant and moving, successfully provoking thoughts about one's own life. The anonymous person behind the narrative described it as 'absolutely spot on'.
